Started: She first tried triathlon in the third grade of junior high school, which was before she sustained her impairment. She tried Para triathlon for the first time in 2019. "I'm still considering my specialisation. After my experiences, I may choose neurology. Or sports cardiology. Orthopaedics is probably out of the question, as it's a surgical specialisation and it would be difficult for me to endure it physically. There is a lot of learning, but I am lucky because at the university they look at my training very favourably. I started training for triathlon seriously in my third year of college. It was quite difficult then, but then Covid came. We had a lot of remote classes, which, I must admit, helped me. It was much easier to find time. I decided to divide the sixth year, which I am currently in [speaking in late 2023] and which I consider to be the most difficult, into two years."
