Reason: She tried a number of sports after she began using a wheelchair, including archery and table tennis. She was introduced to fencing at a competition in 2012. "I had heard about Polish athletes' successes in this discipline, including Marta Makowska and Dariusz Pender. It made a big impression on me - just a few weeks earlier I had seen them on TV, and now I was in the same room with them. Two days later I went to my first training session and it went from there."
