Started: He was invited to try out for wheelchair rugby at the 2014 Invictus Games in London, England. Following the Games, he became part of the Great Britain wheelchair rugby talent development squad, and joined the senior squad in November 2016. (gbwr.org.uk, 01 Jan 2023, 05 Aug 2018)

He joined the Royal Air Force [RAF] in 1999 and had deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2013 he was injured by an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan.
