Started: She joined British Cycling's Para cycling programme in December 2019. (bbc.com, 09 Nov 2022)
Reason: She previously competed in Para athletics at international level. However, she fell out of love with athletics when she was leaving school. "I was finishing my A-levels at the time thinking, 'Is this really what I want to do? Am I going to go to university? Am I still going to do Para sport? I'm not sure'. But at the time I wasn't going to be good enough to go to the Paralympics for athletics, to be completely transparent. But also I loved cycling because I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie, anything with speed. I like to take a few risks along the way, hopefully you don't crash.
