Biography
Started: She first tried the sport at age four. She began swimming competitively in 2008 at the YMCA of the Triangle Area [YOTA] Swim Club in North Carolina, United States of America. (Athlete, 07 Jan 2016) Reason: "I had been swimming for a summer team since I was five years old and had really enjoyed it. I loved the team and also personal aspects of it and had a lot of fun competing. I had tried a few other sports, but I felt much more comfortable and at home in the water."
