She was later added to the US Para athletics team for the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris in early August after receiving a direct invite from the International Paralympic Committee due to a vacant qualification slot. She was adopted from the People's Republic of China at age 10 by a family in the United States of America, where she later earned a scholarship to study at the University of Arizona.
