Reason: She initially competed in canoe sprint before deciding to switch to athletics with the goal of competing at the Paralympic Games. (zorya.org.ua, 17 Aug 2016) Awards: In recognition of her achievements at the 2016 and 2020 Paralympic Games, she received the Order of Princess Olga [third and second class, respectively] from the president of Ukraine.
