Biography
Started: She took up wheelchair fencing in 2011 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. (Athlete, 29 Aug 2016) Reason: "I have fallen in love with the sport." (Athlete, 29 Aug 2016) Milestones: At the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, she became the first Ukrainian wheelchair fencer to win three career Paralympic medals in the sport. (SportsDeskOnline, 01 Jul 2024) At the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, she became the first female Ukrainian wheelchair fencer to win a Paralympic medal when she won bronze in the women's individual epee A event.
