Biography
Ambition: To win a medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. (lnu.se, 27 Sep 2023) Additional Info: EDUCATION AND SPORT In 2018 he decided to leave the national team to focus on his teaching studies at Linnaeus University in Vaxjo, Sweden. In 2022 he rejoined the team with the aim of competing at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. In 2023 he was awarded the Swedish Sports Confederation's and Svenska Spel's Elite Sports Scholarship for demonstrating excellent results in his sport alongside full-time university studies. "My studies still come first, but table tennis has become fun again. The scholarship provides security since I didn't have a summer job this year [speaking in 2023]. I am studying to become an upper secondary school teacher, with a specialisation in sports and health, and history. I have always wanted to work with people and feel that I am helping others. I have actually performed better since I started studying because I have had something else to focus on and be interested in. An elite sports career is often unpredictable, but an education can make it more stable. At the same time, you make new friends and develop a lot as a person."
