After competing at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, she took a two-year break from competition to focus on her studies at the University of the Valley of Mexico. She continued to train during this period and went on to compete and win a bronze medal at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. "It is impossible to leave it, they are habits that are already part of life for people who compete in sport at a professional level.
