Started: He took up Para swimming in 2017 in Montagnana, Italy. (Athlete, 15 Aug 2018)
Reason: Before his accident he was a member of the Italian non-Para junior national swimming team. "After the accident, I didn't want to go back to the pool, but my mum pushed me to do it and I have to thank her because a year later I made my first Para podium in the 200m butterfly."
