Biography
Started: He took up table tennis in 2011. (Ufficio stampa Sacro Cuore YouTube channel, 09 Mar 2018)
Reason: He was encouraged to take up the sport during his rehabilitation by people who had impairments similar to his. "Above all, I realised that I could do it. When these things happen to you, you are usually focused on what you can't do. It made me realise that I still had many possibilities to exploit. I found that an individual sport can give you a lot of confidence and self-esteem." (Nazionale Italiana ParaTennistavolo Facebook page, 06 Aug 2020; daily.veronanetwork.it, 25 Mar 2020, 24 Apr 2018)
