Reason: She enjoyed sport and originally played football and basketball. She fell in love with track athletics after being fitted with her first running blade at age 12. "I always really loved running. I had some good influences in the sport and once I broke the Canadian record for the 100m at age 12 I realised my potential in the sport." In 2018 she was an ambassador for the Canadian Paralympic Committee's Paralympian Search talent identification day. She has also served as an ambassador for the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto, ON, Canada. "Ever since I was eight months old I have been a patient at Holland Bloorview. From making day prosthetics to physiotherapy, to now getting top of the line sprinting equipment to break barriers in my sport. Holland Bloorview has supported me through it all and has helped me find my superpower, running."
