Reason: "I met [Brazilian Para judoka] Antonio Tenorio who introduced judo to me. I stayed for three months and quit. I trained with athletes with full sight, I thought it was unfair, then I stopped for nearly one year. At the end of 2004, I returned to judo, and I ended up winning in a beginner's group, so I decided to return to train." (jovempan.com.br, 10 Aug 2015)
