At age 18 he customised his prosthetic leg into a piece of art that was selected for display at the Brisbane Gallery of Modern Art in Queensland, Australia. He used acrylic, graphite, stainless steel, and moving parts in the piece. "My artwork addresses the fact that I find prosthetic limbs uncomfortable and prefer my wheelchair. The prosthetic leg does conversely represent potential and freedom of movement if I choose to use it." (abc.net.au, 03 Dec 2013)
