Started: She began the sport in 2016. "When I started I was a standing archer. I have multiple sclerosis, but as time went on I was having more falls, and the coach said maybe I should use a stool or wheelchair, just for safety reasons." Reason: "This started with my son. He was in primary school, I was looking for sports for him. So, he was doing swimming, and whilst he was swimming, I saw a sign for archery. And as you do with your kids, you try different sports to see what might work for them because everyone has different interests. So, I came along for a trial and they said the parents can try it as well. I tried it, I got the bug, my son retired after a few months." (You Little Reaper Podcast, 28 Aug 2023)

She has practised multiple martial arts in the past. "When I was in my younger years, I watched a lot of movies, and I had the love for martial arts. When I moved to Sydney in my 20s, I went straight to doing ninjutsu, and then taekwondo. I was doing taekwondo for about 15 years. As well as that, I dipped my finger into capoeira as well."
