She swims using counting techniques to help her know where she is in the pool. She also uses a tapper during competition to improve the accuracy of her flip turn. "I adapt my swimming by counting my strokes and underwater kicks during practice. I usually just see how it goes when counting strokes and I sometimes run into the wall."
