Biography
Started: She was first classified for Para athletics in 2015. She began focusing on throwing events after winning a national title in shot put in 2016. (sahof.org.au, 14 Sep 2023)
Reason: "I got into [Para] athletics by accident really. In primary school, a teacher recommended me to get classified, and then I went through the national school system. I was classified because I became upset from coming last in sports at school to my able-bodied peers and wanted things to work out fairly. I started shot put because I found running difficult and also enjoyed the objective of the event and found it to be a satisfactory outcome when I threw well." (Athletics Australia Facebook page, 17 Jul 2023; Athlete, 04 Sep 2024)
Ambition: To win a medal at the 2028 and 2032 Paralympic Games. (Athlete, 04 Sep 2024)
Awards: In 2018 she won the Victorian School Sport Award in the athletics category in Australia. (School Sport Victoria YouTube channel, 19 Mar 2018)
