  • Has a condition called Stickler syndrome which breaks down all the connective tissue in your body
  • It started with torn and detached retinas and developed into other complications such as glaucoma
  • Parents are Terry and Beth Buhler
  • Has three siblings - Allie, Kameron and Kendall
  • Both his mother-in-law, Karen Helmacy, and father-in-law, Jerry Windell, played goalball and won Paralympic medals
  • Karen was a gold medalist in javelin and goalball in 1984, and Jerry won silver in goalball in 1988
  • Hobbies include playing the drums, working out, and watching football all day on Sundays.
