- Jensen was seven years old when a brain aneurysm caused her to have a stroke and left her slightly paralyzed on her right side
- She does have the ability to stand up and move her legs to a very minimal extent
- First discovered wheelchair fencing while volunteering at a wheelchair sports camp when she was 16
- Three years later she was nationally ranked
- She loves to read, and started studying more about the sport and the psychological elements of it
