Quick Facts
- Born with a posteromedial bow of the right tibia and a calcaneal valgus foot that was corrected at the age of four by having a wedge of bone surgically removed.
- Was six years old when she first got on a bike, riding to and from school with her dad.
- Dreamt of becoming a professional mountain bike racer after joining and racing with the Arctic Bicycle Club at nine years old.
- When she was 11, she had a limb-lengthening surgery go awry that left her with years of crutches, atrophied muscles and a surgically stunted left leg.
- When she would go on bike rides with her dad as a kid, he'd give her a quarter for every person on a bike she passed and would only get to keep the quarter if the person didn't pass her back.
- Married to Andrew Bosco, another cyclist whom she met at a bike race in a state neither one of them lived in, and has one brother, Jason.
- Lettered in swimming and bowling in high school and earned a crew scholarship to the University of Central Florida where she rowed for two years.
- Would probably try to own an ice cream shop if she wasn't cycling and still runs outside at the sound of an ice cream truck.
- Uses her experiences as a life-long athlete to be an athlete mentor to classrooms across the country.
