- Robert started racing after attending a Heli Ski camp In Alaska. It was there that he met fellow alpine skiers, Andrew Kurka, Tyler Walker and Ravi Drugan.
- Robert acquired his impairment after being involved in a car accident in 2014
- His parents are Debra Zierler, John Enigl jr and Rick Zierler (step dad). His siblings are Stacia Enigl (Rosas), Tiffany Zierler, Charity Zierler, Becky Zierler and Dana Zierler.
- His wife is Heather Enigl and together they have two children: Lucas and Lydia.
- Robert's hobbies include: freeskiing, flyfishing, hunting, rafting, kayaking, offroad, being in the mountains and camping with family. Robert also enjoys metal fabrication, 3d printing, cnc manufacturering and autocad.
- Robert was an avid skateborder and snowboarder before his injury and he never skied prior to his accident
- Robert would describe himself in three words as ambitious, extroverted and funny
- His most memorable sporting moment was skiing Big Sky Big Coulair.
