  • Born with spastic, quadriplegic cerebral palsy, which primarily affects his legs and right arm
  • Began swimming competitively at age 10 for North Coast Aquatics (NCA) in Carlsbad, California
  • After watching the Paralympic Games Rio 2016, Jaffe's medical team told him he'd be eligible for Para swimming, and he decided to try it
  • Broke onto the international scene by winning four medals, including a gold, at his first world championships in 2023
  • Proudest accomplishment is representing Team USA at the 2022 Duel in the Pool meet, which marked the first time Team USA Para athletes competed alongside able-bodied counterparts and was Jaffe's international debut
  • Outside of the pool, enjoys reading, going to the beach and open water swimming
  • Plans to go to medical school and specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation in hopes of working with kids with cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions
