Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her distal femur in high school
- Discovered Paralympic sports after graduating from college.
- Previously worked as a statistician after graduating from the University of Nebraska with a degree in statistics
- Played sitting volleyball before discovering her talent in wheelchair basketball
- Made the U.S. Paralympic Team in 2008, the first year she tried out for the women’s wheelchair basketball team
- Hobbies include going to the University of Nebraska football games and playing basketball.
