- Born with a congenital limb deficiency of his right arm
- Played on the football team at Morse High School and was a dual sport athlete at Luther College where he competed on the football and track and field
- Competed in several arenas including various CrossFit competitions, Spartan races, the Arnold Sports Festival and the Working Wounded Games
- Since attending a Paralympic talent camp in Chicago in April 2014, Cinnamo has emerged as one of the top field athletes on Team USA as an F46 shot put thrower
