- Walsh is a retired New York state trooper and mother to three children – two sons, Griffin and Sullivan, and one daughter, Julia

- As an avid triathlete, Walsh’s multiple sclerosis began to impact her ability to bike and run
- However, Walsh found a way to keep her competitive spirit alive through competing in the trike class in Paralympic cycling events
- In her first world championships, Walsh came away with silver in the road race and bronze in the time trial
- Hobbies include triathlon and building projects.
