Fun Facts: Seven-time winner of the Milan-Gruson Award for top disabled female skipper… Executive director of Neurotech Network… Member of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club… Born in
North Royalton, a small town in northeastern Ohio...Introduced to windsurfing as a college
student while on her second date with her now husband, Tim… Her story was featured in
the documentary film, "To Have Courage", and in the book, Shattered Nerves… As a result of
a snowboarding accident in 1998, French became a quadriplegic from a C6-7 incomplete
spinal cord injury.
