After the 9/11 attack, he joined the Army
On Oct. 20, 2009 while serving in Helmand Providence in Afghanistan, he was wounded in action when the vehicle in which he was riding in was hit by rocket fire. As a consequence of the injury, he lost his right leg above the knee
Took up handcycling as part of his rehabilitation
Has a true passion for art, whether the medium is graphic design or abstract painting
Paints abstract art to illustrate the psychological experiences he faced in combat
Married to Jeanette De Los Santos.
