- Martin tried Nordic skiing at the encouragement of her friend and teammate, Heather Galeotalanza, in March 2019
- She developed her impairment after a climbing accident
- Immediately fell in love with the freedom and adventure that goes along with exploring trails
- Since trying Nordic skiing she’s been training hard and working on improving her power and endurance for skiing.
- Her parents are Roger and Sharon Martin and she has one sibling, Gerrad Martin.
- Erin's hobbies are rowing, biking, camping and crossword puzzles. A fun fact about Erin is that she is a pro level napper.
- Oksana Masters is her sporting idol
- Her most memorable sporting moment was placing 3rd at US Sit Ski Nationals which earned her a qualification spot on the US Paralympic team
- Her favorite thing about Nordic skiing is the opportunity to train and race in some of the most beautiful places in the world.
