- Was an All-American defender on the Metropolitan State University of Denver Women’s Soccer Team where she incurred an injury her junior year that left her paralyzed from the waist down.
- Recruited by the University of Arizona where she transferred, playing basketball and studying special education with an emphasis on disability studies
- Became an assistant coach with the University of Arizona's wheelchair basketball team after graduating. Coaches alongside her Team USA teammate, Josie Aslakson
- Hobbies include handcycling, watching movies, hiking, spending time with her dog, traveling with her spouse and kayaking
- Co-founder of the Team PossAbilities Shield Maidens women’s wheelchair basketball team in Los Angeles, California.
