- Born with arthrogryposis amyoplasia, a muscular skeletal disorder that affects her lower limbs
- Always participated in a variety of sports and began swimming at age 11 to combat chronic hip pain due to her bilateral hip dysplasia
At age 12, she competed in her first Para swimming event, the GTAC Disability Open and less than a year later she was named to the U.S. emerging team roster
Swims at the NCAA Division I level at Rice University in Houston
Hobbies include cooking, baking, movies, reading, spending time with friends and family
Daughter to Tom and Anna
