- Gouge started playing wheelchair basketball when he was 11 with a local team in Raleigh, North Carolina. After a couple years, he started playing competitively for the Charlotte Hornets. He went on to play at the University of Texas at Arlington. Following college, he played professionally in France for two years
- Son of Roger and Nancy Gouge
- Has one older sister, Amber
- Married to Amber Gouge
- In 2007, the Mayor of Arlington officially declared November 2 as “Aaron Gouge Day”
- Used to compete in track and field and weightlifting where he broke several junior weightlifting records
- Hopes to get into coaching
- Favorite college basketball team is the North Carolina Tar Heels
- Enjoys hanging out with friends, watching movies and sports, and traveling.
