Biography
Started: He took up the sport seriously in 2009. (pref.kanagawa.jp, 06 Aug 2021) Reason: He originally played volleyball, but switched to fencing in grade 10 of high school. He competed in non-wheelchair fencing at university level before his accident. He was encouraged to get involved in wheelchair fencing by Japanese fencer Yuki Ota, who was his senior at high school, as well as his high school coach Hidehiko Imura.
