Biography
Started: He began playing as a goalkeeper in grade one of primary school. He started playing Para football 5-a-side in 2007. (Nippon Challenged Athlete Radio, 16 Mar 2018; web.gekisaka.jp, 31 Dec 2019)
Reason: His coach told him that he would be appointed team captain if he played as a goalkeeper, so he accepted the offer. He quit football in order to become a teacher, but became interested in Para football 5-a-side after watching the sport on television and learning the goalkeepers were non-Para footballers. "At that time, I wanted to play the sport again." (Nippon Challenged Athlete Radio, 16 Mar 2018)
