Biography
Started: He began shooting at age seven in Rennes, France. (groupebpce.com, 08 Apr 2022)
Reason: "I come from a very sporty family but I realised early on there would be sports I could not participate in, which was a little frustrating. When I was age seven I went to a fair where they had a shooting competition and I won." (groupebpce.com, 08 Apr 2022; och.asso.fr, 01 Dec 2009)
Ambition: To win a medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. (groupebpce.com, 08 Apr 2022)
Additional Info: OTHER ACTIVITIES
He has served as secretary general of the French Paralympic and Sports Committee, and as vice president of the French Para Sport Federation [FFH]. He has also served as a member of the board of the organising committee of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. "When I'm training or competing, I'm thinking exclusively about shooting. Conversely, I try to be present and to best fulfil my function as secretary general outside of the sporting arena." BUSINESS CAREER
He and his sister Patricia co-founded Defi RH, a recruitment company for people with an impairment based in Paris, France. He has also worked as a partner and development manager at Home Diffusion, an advertising and marketing company based in Rennes, France, which was founded by his father. "Participating in a world championship or the Olympics is an incredible and extraordinary experience. When it's over, there's an emptiness. Luckily, I can fill this emptiness because I have a full life outside shooting. Between my job, my volunteer work, my personal and my family life, I've found fulfilment and the balance I'm looking for." LOOKING FOR DETAILS
He is always in search of changes to his shooting process which could help him to improve. "I do not shoot the same way from one year to another. I like to change my position and to modify something, always. I like to keep on searching for something better, as well as face new challenges. It's not because I want to get into trouble, but because I don't want to rest on my laurels." (fftir.org, 11 Jun 2021)
