Reason: A swimmer before she acquired her impairment, she initially returned to competitive swimming after her accident. She was later approached by a national Para rowing coach. "My father and my mother are part of the Cercle Aviron Nogentais rowing club in Nogent-sur-Seine [in France]. I really wanted to try it. In 2012 she joined the National Gendarmerie, a national police force in France. She moved on to join the force's Republican Guard and in 2016 she joined the French National Gendarmerie Intervention Group [GIGN], a police tactical unit of the French National Gendarmerie.
