Reason: She began swimming at age six, and the diagnosis of her vision impairment gave her the motivation to continue. "I overcome obstacles and adapted myself. The condition helped me to change my focus. Without it I cannot be certain I would have continued swimming. [In the pool] I feel free, I let everything go.
