Reason: After his accident in 2000 he initially took up table tennis, but he had problems holding the paddle so he decided to try athletics. "I had a dilemma between shot put and handcycling. Shot put was cheaper so I took up Para athletics. Why shot put? I didn't have a choice, because in my category it was the only Paralympic discipline."
