Started: He began playing goalball at age 10. (Athlete, 01 Apr 2016) Milestones: At the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, he and teammate Cai Changgui became the first Chinese male goalball athletes to win more than one Paralympic medal when the team claimed silver in Japan. (SportsDeskOnline, 29 May 2024) At the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, he and Cai Changgui both became the first Chinese male goalball athletes to compete in three editions of the Paralympic Games. Both Chen and Cai extended their record to four editions at the 2020 Games in Tokyo.
