Biography
Started: He took up Para archery at age 23 in 2016 with club Okcular Vakfi Spor Kulubu in Turkiye. "The first time I tried to hold a bow, I lost my balance and fell out of my chair. That day, as I continued to watch other Turkish Para archers in awe shooting from distance, I decided to train harder, get stronger and become a part of the team." Reason: "I was back and forth between home and physical therapy for more than two years. One of those days, as we were returning home, my father told me that he met an archer and that he was in the national team. Towards the end of 2015, I went to meet Turkish national archer Naci Yenier, whom my father met. He explained the process to me. I felt that this sport was suitable for me and no matter how hard it was, I would follow it." (Athlete, 27 Aug 2024; aa.com.tr, 26 Aug 2022; yigitcaneraydin.com, 12 Jan 2020)
