Started: She took up the sport at age nine in Leipzig, Germany. (Athlete, 22 Aug 2021) Reason: A friend took her to training with them. "We [she and her twin sister Ramona] love judo. When we were younger, we began with chess. Our family is a chess family and it was like a competition between chess and judo, and we said, 'No, judo is better'. We never wanted to change the sport."
