Started: She began swimming at age three. She took up competitive Para swimming at age 17. (paralisiscerebral.home.blog, 02 Jul 2019) Reason: She first began swimming as part of her rehabilitation, although she did not enjoy it at first. "I was in horror when I was in the pool. I was always by the pool edge." She later gained an appreciation for the competitive side of swimming. "Now I can't imagine my life without training or competing. I'd get so bored.
