Started: She took up the sport as a teenager. (marca.com, 30 Aug 2017) Reason: "I chose judo because my older brother practised it, and so as soon as I could I started training in Madrid [Spain]. Judo taught me that I was capable of doing things. Until then I was used to being the slowest in gym class. But I liked judo from the beginning because I was able to perform well."
