Started: He received his first prosthetic leg in 2009 and took up running. He participated in his first competitive duathlon in 2012, and began competing in triathlon the following year. He later focused on long-distance swimming and joined a swimming club. "At the club, a coach had a bike and I borrowed it and began competing in triathlon."
