Additional Info: TRAINING BASE
In September 2020 he left his hometown of A Coruna, Spain, to train at the High Performance Centre [CAR] in Sant Cugat, near Barcelona. He says he was able to adapt quickly following the move. "I had already been training at my swimming club, Liceo, for 11 years with Jesus de la Fuente, my former coach, and I saw the need to make a change. I thought moving was going to hit me a little more, especially the change from being with my family every day to not seeing them for three months. I lowered the training load a lot with respect to what I had been doing at Liceo, but now I pay more attention to power and speed, which was what I needed to improve." (paralimpicos.es, 26 Feb 2021)
