Reason: She began swimming on a medical recommendation. In 2016 coach Patricia Prieto saw her swimming and thought she had potential to compete at a high level. "We saw she swam really fast, and when we realised she was missing part of her arm, we were in awe. She beat all the non-disabled girls," said Prieto.
