Additional Info: WINTER PARALYMPIC AMBITION
He has expressed a desire to represent Spain in biathlon at the 2026 Paralympic Winter Games in Milan-Cortina. "This great project was born of an obsession, a dream. The obsession of making history, to show the world that an impairment is in fact an opportunity. The goal is clear, to compete in five Paralympic Games, summer and winter, in three different sports. Triathlon is still my priority but I like challenges and dreaming big. I've seen other athletes with the same impairment as me practising biathlon and I say, 'If these guys can do it, I can too'. It will also help me in triathlon because training at high altitude will increase my lung capacity. A biathlete can compete at age 40 so if I cannot qualify for the 2026 Games, then I might manage it for the next one." (marca.com, 06 Mar 2022)
