Biography
Started: She took up wheelchair fencing in 2015. (pt.globalvoices.org, 04 Jul 2017) Milestones: She became the first female athlete representing Georgia in any sport to win a medal at the Paralympic Games when she claimed silver in the women's class A individual sabre event at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. The medal also made her the first Georgian wheelchair fencer of either gender to finish on the podium at the Paralympic Games.
