"I had COVID in June 2021. We had Tokyo in August and a month and a half before competing I was in bed with antibiotics and medication. That left me with a lot of physical ailments, but I still got there, and I managed to get into the final, my second Paralympic final. It is a moment where I won the battle against life and circumstances, this has a huge meaning for having faced all that and having achieved my goals." Since I was seven or eight years old, I supported my mother in her work. I helped her in a marketing company that we had in the city of Bucaramanga. We sold bags and all kinds of products related to the time of year. I stayed with my mother's company until I came to live in Bogota. Throughout my life I have been combining sports with the business and musical side. I am a musician, percussionist and pianist. I have worked with several groups and I have also recorded with one of the best orchestras in the city and I have a company called Triana Mesa T&M."
