Biography
At the 2022 Para swimming World Championships Félix Cowan reached the final in all four of his individual events, setting three personal best times in the process. In the 50 free S8, he missed the podium by seven hundredths of a second, finishing fourth in a Canadian record time of 27.63.
Cowan was also a member of the 4×50-m medley 20 points relay that placed eighth and the 4×100-m freestyle 34 points that placed fifth. Both relays broke Canadian records.
Following those sensational performances in his worlds debut, Cowan was named Swimming Canada’s Breakout Performer of the Year (Paralympic Program) for 2022.
Cowan has been training at Swimming Canada’s High Performance Centre-Quebec since 2020.
